Committed and Encouraging

Laurie has been a very committed and encouraging swim instructor. I went from being a trepidatious swimmer, never putting my head underwater, to feeling comfortable and natural being fully underwater in just a few lessons. She incorporates many different teaching techniques and cues until something clicks. Her focused yet kind way makes her delightful to work with. I’d recommend her to people of all levels!

No more doggie paddle

I’m so glad that I found Laurie. I was nervous about getting in a pool and swimming laps, as it had been decades since I last swam for fitness. Really all I remembered how to do well was doggy paddle. Laurie made everything easy. She is approachable, supportive, and has a way of explaining and demoing things that just makes sense. She had me feeling comfortable very quickly. Moreover, I enjoy my lessons with her and continue to learn more each time.
